About Us

​Breeder Duncan McDonald has passionately been breeding Parakeets for well over 30 years, & has resumed his hobby recently in Andover, Hampshire.

​

He firmly believes that a healthy bird is a happy bird & this shows in the quality of the chicks and their respective parents. Hand-rearing is a speciality, when time permits, & is more than happy to showcase his birds when they become available. 

 

As a responsible breeder, a quality diet of fresh feed (seed, pellets and fruit & veg) & a supplementary intake of vitamins and minerals, to ensure optimum growth & health of our feathered friends.

We try to breed specific colours by aligining parents with specific mutations. Strong traits are also selected to ensure good health, plumage and desirable features.

All our chicks that are hand-reared are identity banded with closed alluminium rings & are DNA tested using our reputable Sex determination partners to provide early determination of gender.​

We have recently introduced Indian Ringnecks to our aviaries, with the blue and yellow colouration as recent additions. All going well, we hope to look at additional colours, such as the olive and clearwing..
